Or should i smith steel plates and sell it to ge. Or should I manually smelt the bars at a furnace. OR should just mine coal and iron and sell it? So finally question is: Blast furnace is one of the most profitable ways to train smithing, especially at lower levels. You only need half of the coal you would normally use to make bars, so the profit per bar is better than superheating or smelting from a furnace. If you want to do something with the bars, making cannonballs and steel dart tips are probably the most profitable things to make at the moment.

For mithril, dart tips are still probably the best profit. For addy, dart tips don't make much profit if any at all , and neither does much else. You're best bet would be platebodies, which sell fast because of their alch price and they also are very fast xp. Once you have the levels, I think rune swords and rune 2h's provide the most profit from rune items, at least for alch value. You could probably sell things like scimitars and plate legs for a good profit too. Did you do addy bars at blast furnace, if so, how much did that make?

Was it better than steel or mith bars?

You could just mine for cash until you get enough for a bond and then get membership with a bond. Mining is a skill that you can train well in f2p as well, and it is a requirement for a few quests.

Then you could start doing blast furnace etc. You should be able to make back the money you spent on the bond within 5 hours if you do blast furnace efficiently with a good team. It's well worth it IMO. Use of this site constitutes acceptance of our User Agreement and Privacy Policy.
