Is it worth it? Yes, I would say it is. You pay for top quality product. Granted, a middle of the line stock might be one of the stocks by Sharp Shooter Supply. While I have not handled one of these stocks before, many Savage owners feel that the SSS stocks are a fine product.

Please to note that the Model 10 so equipped from the Savage has a shorter barrel length to reduce the immense weight of the total rifle. I intend to purchase a 10FP as soon as funds are availible.

I've put Boyd's Thumbhole Varminter on 2 of my Savages and have been VERY happy. I always get looks and thumbs ups from people. Even the "non-shooters" seem to like it. Something to consider anyway.
